Prototyping Journal
Visualizing many design problems I would have faced when creating my game. I also liked the feedback on what I can do better with the story. I will also have a better idea of making my movements and programming to be more usable and flexible for the user. I prototyped my main core based on the events I have occurring in the game. Falling from a platform or falling in lava will cause the game to loop you back to the start when you fail. This core loop will make the player focus in on timing and movements so they can successfully complete the course.
It helped me figure out how a game can be created to be more engaging. The more you add to your core loop the harder it is for the player but the simpler you make it will enhance the movement and design of the map for the player. I used Maya to create my model and some platforms within my game. I also used this to animate certain movements within my character itself. I am using Unity for all my game programming and design
I am struggling with the map design. I am a pro at programming and animating on Unity but I struggle with Unity map design more often. It's not to difficult but I do need to learn a few steps to perfect it within my game. Lastly, I have never made a working UI for my games in Unity before so I am excited to try that out when making my game.
